SPRING GLEN- Boyd J. Anderson, age 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on November 21, 2019. He was born in Wales, Utah on May 26, 1933, to Kenneth and Clista Jensen Anderson.

Married Katherine Saccomanno on May 12, 1956. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple. They were blessed with three children. They recently celebrated 63 years of marriage.

Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served in numerous church positions and was an active leader for the Boy Scouts of America.

Boyd was a Korean veteran serving in the Army from 1953 to 1955.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His family was always his first priority. He loved horses, root beer floats, and refereeing the Jazz games from his recliner. He never met a weed that he didn't hate. He helped with the construction of the Spring Glen Church and was the first person to paint the steeple. He enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play baseball, basketball and cheer. He was instrumental in raising funds for the new bathrooms and scoreboard at the Walt Borla field. He was honored to throw the first pitch for their 2014 season.

Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home where friends are welcome daily and may share memories at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be made to the Shriners Hospital, Fairfax Road at Virginia Street, Salt Lake City, Utah 84103.

The family would like to thank Dr. Etzel and Symbii Home Health and Hospice for the compassionate care they provided. There were too many wonderful souls to mention individually but we would like to thank his special caregivers Bonnie and Michaela. Boyd looked forward to their visits. A special thank you to all our loved ones and good friends for your generosity and support. We have been overwhelmed by the kindness and love we have been shown.
