Mr. Alford was born in Tennessee, but has been a resident of this country for 35 years, and for many years was one of this community's most progressive farmers.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Lee Alford; two step-daughters, Mrs. Sallie B. Johnson of this city and Mrs. Esther Pfeffer of near Micola; three brothers: Dave, of Steele, Frank of Micola, and Monroe of Netherlands; one sister, Mrs. Gillem Hemphill of Union City, Tenn., several grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday morning at the Maple Cemetery at Caruthersville by Rev. D.K. Foster, pastor of the Baptist Church at Caruthersville. Burial was made in the Maple Cemetery.
