MONROE JACKSON COOPER -

Funeral for Monroe Jackson Cooper, 77, of Talladega, who died Tuesday in Talladega, will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Elliott Funeral Home chapel, the Rev. Wade Whitlock officiating with burial in the Red Hill Cemetery, Elliott Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Smathcha Campbell of Moulton, Mrs. Reba Craft of Muscle Shoals and Mrs. Diane Carnes of Talladega; one son, Joe Cooper of Talladega; his step-mother, Mrs. Myrtle Cooper of Dora; six sisters, Mrs. Lucille Stone of Hartselle, Mrs. Seraine Poore, Mrs. Elsie Tidwell, Mrs. Doris Reed, all of Dora, Mrs. Magbelene Qellen of Scottsboro and Mrs. Clora Mae Box of Grayson; 28 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Duane Cooper, Larry Cooper, Douglas Craft, Dale Craft, Harold Bishop and Ed Bishop.

Mr. Cooper was a former resident of Lawrence County. He attended the Baptist church.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 9 tonight at the funeral home.
