FORT MEADE - Ms. Barbara Ann "Bobbie" Allgood, 55, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at Good Shepherd Hospice, Auburndale, FL. due to cancer.
Ms. Allgood was born May 28, 1954 in Bartow, FL and a lifelong resident of Fort Meade. She was an employee of the Polk County School Board and worked in the cafeteria at Lewis Elementary in Fort Meade. She attended the New Beginning Church of God, Fort Meade.
She is survived by her sons, Billy Kerst and Staff Sgt. Wesley Kerst, both of Frostproof, FL; parents, James and Martha Pierce, Fort Meade; sisters, Sandy Shiver and husband Ronnie, Fort Meade and Martha Harris and husband Lennie, Fort Meade; two nieces, Annette Crews and Brandy Skinner, both of Fort Meade. Four grandchildren, Riley Kerst, Courtney Kerst, Clayton Kerst and Colton Kerst.
Visitation will be held from 6 00-8 00 p.m., Thursday, June 2, 2009 at Hancock Funeral Home, Fort Meade. Funeral services will be held 2 00 p.m., Friday, June 3, 2009 at the Hancock Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Reggie Palmer officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Ft. Meade.
