Hugh Preston Kirk served in Co B, 23rd MO Infantry in the Civil War. He enlisted 25 July 1862 at Trenton, Mo, as a Private, under Captain Nash. He was mustered in on 31 Aug 1862 at Hudson, Mo. He was mustered out on 10 June 1865 in Washington, DC.still a Private
Resided in Grundy and Mercer Counties, Missouri.
