Mr. Franks was born May 4, 1901 at Dyersburg, Tennessee, and died June 4, 1981 at the Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital in Hayti.
He leaves one son, Charles Franks of Kalamazoo, Michigan; Two sisters, Mrs. Eva Akins of Steele and Mrs. Ethel May of East Prairie, Missouri; Six nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Merlon Bishop, Gary Bishop, Pat Bishop, Patrick Bishop, Harry George and Louis Wyatt.
Burial was in Maple Cemetery in Caruthersville, with the German-Aumon Funeral Home of Steele in charge of arrangements.
