Services for Ermer J. Exum, 76, of Lubbock will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at First united Methodist Church with the Rev. J. Waid Griffin retired Methodist minister, officiating.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park under direction of Sanders Funeral Home.
He died Sunday at Methodist Hospital after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Tell and moved to the Lubbock area in 1921. He attended schools in the New-deal area and married Opal Harrell in 1936 in Lubbock. He was a farmer and a member of the First United Methodist Church. He also belonged to the Texas Plains Airstream Club and the Road Runners Travel Club. A son Larry Exum died 1975.
Survivors include his wife; a son James of Albuquerque, N.M., a brother, Ernest of Houston, five great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society or a favorite charity.
