==================
L.W. Pearce wrote her obituary and was with Elizabeth (as well as one of her sons) at the time of her death in the family home:
"Thus passed away a noble woman, a Christian mother, one that the Church and community will greatly miss. For more than a half century she was a devoted Christian. Her last illness was short, but she bore her sufferings with Christian fortitude. I was with her when she entered the "valley of the shadow of death" and she assured me that she feared no evil. She told me that one very consoling through to her in her dying hour was "I have tried to raise my children right. I always prayed for them and I know God answered my prayers". Sister Miller leaves nine children, all religious, and trying to raise their children as they had been trained to 'fear God and keep his commandments'."
