1935 Biography: Lacy A. Snorgrass, the able sheriff of Cole County MO, has been a resident of Jefferson City since 1905. He was born in Tipton, Moniteau County, Missouri, June 20, 1886, the son of Benjamin and Sarah (Parker) Snorgrass. … In early manhood Mr. Snorgrass was united in marriage to Miss Erma Hickcox, of California, Missouri, dau. of N. Cole and Mary (Buchannan) Hickcox, the former a well known democrat and attorney of that city. [Missouri Democracy, vol. 3, page 769]
