Funeral services were held Saturday at the Bethlehem Lutheran church, rural Gonvick, with the Rev. Richard Lafer officiating. Interment was made in Bethlehem Cemetery under the direction of the Cease Funeral Home.
Mr. Aasen was born November 7, 1913 in Pennington County. When he was young, he moved with his family to Clearbrook. He spent all his life in the Clearbrook area, where he farmed. He was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith and was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. He was also a member of the Eagles Club at Thief River Falls and the Farmers Union.
Survivors are five sisters, Ida Wennberg and Myrtle Sund, Clearbrook, Sarah (Mrs. Earl) Sonier, Bremerton, Washington, Mildred (Mrs. Bennie) Rud, St Paul, and Ella Hanson, Thief River Falls; four brothers, Ole, James and Alf, Clearbrook and Bernard, Minneapolis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, a sister and a stepmother.
