Elizabeth was the daughter of James & Fanny Dennison Wallace. Elizabeth and Edmund Turpin's children were: Amanda, who married Joseph Blythe, and their children were: Selwin & twin sister who died young. Susan, who married William Balch, and their children were: Ellsworth Turpin, Bloomer, Lillie, Ulin, Alfred, Johnnie, Donna & Dora (twins). Melinda, who died young. Emily, who died unmarried. Huldah, who married Joseph Roby and their child was Edmund Turpin.

Another Old Settler Passed Away.—Mrs. Elizabeth Turpin was born in South Carolina, March 22, 1810, died April 2, 1891, aged 84 years and 10 days. She was married to Edmund Turpin December 22, 1836, to whom were born five children. Mrs. Amanda Blythe of LaPlace, Mrs. Susan Balch, who died in Kansas December 24, 1892, Malinda Turpin, who died when five years of age, Miss Emma Turpin and Mrs. Emma Roby of Casner, Ill. are the children. Mrs. Turpin moved to Macon county in an early day and since that time has made it her home. The deceased united with the Presbyterian church when a girl, and has been a member ever since.
