Demas Roddam Trapp was born January 17, 1880 in Hughes, Nodaway County, Missouri to Prince Luther Trapp and Adele "Ada" E. Wyman. He had an older brother Cereno Clyde Trapp and a younger brother Edwin D. Trapp. He left Missouri as a very young man and struck out on his own to settle at last in Washington, where he practiced the trade of being a barber most of his life. Demas died in Seattle, King County, Washington on December 11, 1930. He was survived by his wife, Cora.
