Sarah Ann Frances "Annie" Gadd married James William Hatcher in 1901 in Summers County, W.Va. They had five daughters and a son: Rebecca, Ethel, Sylvia, Goldie, Frances (Frenchie) and Walter Lee Hatcher. James and Annie divorced.

In 1921, she married George W. Turner in Raleigh County, W.Va. Annie and George operated G.W. Turner Grocery in Raleigh County, W.Va.

According to her obituary, George died in 1955.
