Born Margaret Parker on June 11, 1923, in Brookings, OR to Lloyd and Olivia (Smart) Parker, the family moved to Louisiana where Margaret grew up and attended Sophie B. Hayes High School. On Feb. 14, 1943, Margaret married Douglass W. Reeder, Sr. Together they raised four children living in various places around the country as the U.S. Navy assigned.
Margaret worked a variety of jobs, from office work to electronic assembly, and was always interested in learning new things. She was a wonderful seamstress and a very creative crafter of Christmas ornaments and decorations. She was an active member of St. Anne Parish in Blaine, WA.
She is preceded in death by her siblings, Samuel Parker, Mary Adele Oritz and Marion Band.
She is survived by her children, Doug Reeder, Peggy Hooley, Susan Bennett, Neil Reeder and wife, Sandra and daughter-in-law Evelyn Reeder, 13 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
A funeral Mass will be held at St. Anne Church in Blaine at 10:00 am on Wednesday, April 21, 2004. Arrangements by Jerns Funeral Chapel and On-Site Crematorium
