Mary Mildred "Mil" Donahue, 97, of Peoria Heights, died at 1:40 p.m. on Friday, June 19, 2009, at OSF Saint Clare Home. She was born on December 6, 1911, in Washington, Indiana to Edward and Mary Elizabeth Smith Watterson. She married James Patrick Donahue in Peoria, IL at St. Patrick's Church. James died on July 13, 2000. They were married 68 years.
She is survived by one daughter, Mary Patricia Gorman of Peoria; one son, James Patrick Jr. (Joanne) Donahue of West Peoria; nine grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; and one brother, Paul Watterson of Phoenix, AZ. She was preceded in death by five brothers.
As a child, the family moved to Salem, IL, where she was raised. She was a graduate of the Chillicothe, MO School of Business.
Services were entrusted to Wright and Salmon Mortuary of Peoria, Illinois.
