Fae B. Dennis, 89, a resident of Wenatchee and former resident of Seattle, died Saturday afternoon, Jan. 3, 1998, in Parkside Convalescent Center.

She was born Feb. 21, 1908, to Benjamin and Bessie (Garner) Botkin in Foster, Mo., where she grew up and began her education. She worked in a munitions plant in Topeka, Kan., and, in 1945, moved with her family to Peshastin. In 1949, she moved to Seattle where she worked for the Virginia Mason Hospital and became a surgical nurse.

On June 26, 1953, she married Jesse C. Dennis in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho., and they made their home in Seattle. After 25 years, she retired and moved to Wenatchee to be near her sister, May Griffin.

Survivors include two sons, Gerald Elsey of Seattle and Marion Finch of Greensburg, Kan.; a stepdaughter, Mona Harvey of Peshastin; a stepson, Ward Dennis of California; a brother, Hadd Botkin of Foster, Mo.; a sister, Marge Mellish of San Jose, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse, one brother and two sisters.
