Graveside services for Hadd Botkin will be 2:30 p.m. Friday, January 31, 2014 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Butler with Pastor Dennis Painter officiating. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Friday with Masonic services beginning at 2 p.m., all at Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) in Butler, Missouri. Contributions to NRMC Hospice or Butler Masonic Lodge #254.
Hadd Garner Botkin, age 86 of Foster, Missouri, died Sunday, January 26, 2014 in Foster. He was born November 29, 1927 to Benjamin Vernon and Bessie Augusta Jane Garner Botkin in Foster, Missouri.
Hadd is survived by his wife, Joyce Botkin of Foster, Missouri; one son, Hadd Vernon Botkin and wife Dee of Foster, Missouri; one daughter, Linda Kay Botkin of Wilbur, Nebraska; stepson, Robert Alan Christopher and wife Linda of Butler, Missouri; stepdaughter, Kathy Crist and husband David of Butler, Missouri; 7 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Ben Botkin; and four sisters, Margie Melluish, Fannie Nichols, Fae Dennis and Mae Griffin.
