John Edward Sundberg, died suddenly at his home Harmersville, Pa., Sunday at 4:00 a.m. He had worked last Friday.

The deceased was born October 18, 1880 in Sweden, son of John August and Olivia (Olson) Sundberg. He came to this country with his parents when a small boy and spent his early life in Clearfield County. He spent some years later in Elk and Indiana counties following coal mining, being employed by the Consumers Coal Co. at the time of his death.

He was a resident of Indiana for a number of years and was employed as an official of the Rochester and Pittsburgh Coal Co. He had also been an independent coal operator in Indiana and Somerset counties before moving to Harmersville. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias.

Surviving are his widow, Amanda Rouser Sundberg; two sons, Carl W. , New Kensington and Budd Boyer, Indiana; two daughters; Mrs. Vivian Neal, New Kensington and Mrs. Violet Adams, New Kensington; six grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Two brothers, Charles Sundberg, Indiana, Axel Sundberg, Burgettstown and one sister, Mrs. Charles Risinger, Home, Pa., also survive.

Friends may pay their respects at the Robinson Funeral Home, Indiana after 7:00 p.m. Monday. Funeral services from the Home Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in charge of the Rev. James K. Leitch, pastor of the First United Presbyterian church. Interment in Oakland cemetery.hhw
