Ailet Campbell, 80, died at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at his home, Route 1, Stuarts Draft, after a long illness.
Mr. Campbell was a member of the Mountain View Mennonite Church and was a retired farmer.
Born May 5, 1879, in Nelson County, Mr. Campbell was a son of the late Francis H. and Sallie Snead Campbell.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Arminta Coffey Campbell; two sons, Woodrow D. Campbell, Lyndhurst, and Odie B. Campbell, Route 1, Stuarts Draft; one daughter, Mrs. Forest Coffey, Lyndhurst; two brothers, Clem Campbell, Route 1, Waynesboro and John Campbell, Staunton; four sisters, Mrs. Solone Henderson, Waynesboro; Mrs. Ida Hewitt, Lyndhurst; Mrs. Lelia Small, Fishersville, and Mrs. Julia Ward, Williamson, W. Va.; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Body will remain at the Etter Funeral Home until Thursday morning when it will be place in the Mountain View Mennonite Church for viewing one hour prior to the funeral service. Funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m Thursday by the Rev. Perry Burkholder, assisted by the Rev. John Martin. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Ulysses Campbell, Claude Campbell, Harry Campbell, Carl Hewitt, Ersie Hewitt and Saylor Coffey.
