Obituary:
Fred Allen Cooper Sr., 92, of Rockwood, died Wednesday Aug. 11, 1993 in Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.

He was a member of Whites Creek Baptist Church and a retired painter from Southern Railway with 17 years of service. He was also a painter foreman with J.A. Jones in Oak Ridge for several years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Molly Woodruff Cooper.

Survivors include his wife, Mahalia J. Cooper of Rockwood; two sons, Fred A. Cooper, Jr and Shirley Wayne Cooper, both of Rockwood: a daughter, Norma Pitts of Rockwood: a sister, Sallie Bare of Rockwood; four grandchildren, Wayne and Jason Cooper, J.C. Pitts, Jr., Jackie Seiber ; and two great-grandchildren, James Pitts and Brian Howard.

Funeral was 11 a.m. Saturday, August 14, in Evans Mortuary Chapel in Rockwood with the Rev. Hascue Carter, the Rev. Larry Works and the Rev. Sterling Miller officiating.
Burial followed in Glen Alice Cemetery.
