Joseph Stanley Wilmot, 27, Ogdensburg, Route 1, was pronounced dead at 11:23 p.m. Wednesday at A. Barton Hepburn Hospital.

A prayer service will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the McLellan Funeral Home, followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. at Notre Dame Church with the Rev. Ted Monica officiating. Entombment will be in Foxwood Memorial Park.

Surviving are his parents, his maternal grandmother, his paternal grandmother, two sisters, two nieces, two nephews; an uncle, and several cousins.

His maternal grandfather, Stanley Breen, and his paternal grandfather, Leo Wilmot, died before him.

Born Oct. 17, 1967, in Ogdensburg, he graduated from Heuvelton Central School in 1985 and received certification from both the National Tractor Trailer School, Syracuse, and the Heavy Equipment School, Pennsylvania. He worked in the area as a truck driver and heavy equipment operator for Peterlyn-Cartage, Chicago, Ill.

Mr. Wilmot was an avid hunter and snowmobiler. He was a communicant of Notre Dame Church.
