Father, Jeremiah Burns
Mother, Elizabeth "Betsy" Unknown

Catherine married Christian Wiseman, an immigrant from Wurttenberg, Germany on November 10, 1821 in Washington Co, KY. They were the parents of 8 known children, many lived and died near their parents in Hardin Co, KY.

Catherine Alvey came to Kentucky with his mother, Elizabeth "Betsy", and three siblings about 1806, which is the first year that Betsy shows up on the KY Tax lists. She and her four children are later listed on the 1810 Washington Co, KY census. Catherine's three siblings are James Alvey, Sr (my GGG grandfather), Charles Alvey and Philip Alvey (he married Mary "Polly" Mattingly, daughter of Leonard Mattingly, Jr and Ann "Nancy" Cissell). Although not proven, I believe that James, Jr and Charles Alvey are sons of a James Alvey, Sr, who is a son of Jesse Alvey. Catherine and Philip are the children of a man who died in OH and left them $100 each. This man stated in his will that they were children he fathered while living with Elizabeth Alvey of St. Mary's Co, MD, who had moved he thought to Nelson Co, KY.
