Lucy Ann was the daughter of Wesley Cook Welch and Sophronia Ann Harrison (his second wife and sister of his first wife, Lydia Harrion (wed March 1828)). He appears to have had several other wives, Sarah 'Sallie' Carolyn Allen (September 1866) and Susan Pearson (wed March 1879(, and was the father of 12 known children.
Lucy Ann Welch married Henry Franklin Wilson in Henry Co., GA August 23, 1860. Still finding only initials, H F Wilson joined the CSA, Butts Co., GA Company B 53th GA Infantry Army of Northern Virginia May 4, 1862. Henry's fate was shorten as he was killed in action on October 19, 1864 at Cedar Creek, Hanover Co., VA., in The Shenandoah Valley. It was called the 'Battle of Belle Grove'. To this union was born in 1861, a son called Lasseter 'Leslie' Wilson Sykes
