Virginia Beach - Mrs. Hattie Belle Dow, 71, of 2761 Broad Bay Road, the wife of retired Navy Capt. James E. Dow and a native of Augusta, Ga., died Wednesday in her home.
She was a member of First Church of Christ Scientist, Virginia Beach, and Mathews County Eastern Star Chapter.
Other survivors include a half sister, Miss Mary Lamar of Augusta, Ga.; a brother, George Lamar of Saint Petersburg, Fla.; and a half brother, William Lamar of Harrisburg, Pa.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. in Friendship Cemetery, Susan, Mathews County. Hollomon-Brown Funeral h
