Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, at Peace Lutheran Church with Pastor Jay Simonsen officiating.
Burial will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
Art was born January 10,1919, in Poynor, Texas.
He was a kind and considerate man and will be missed by all his family and by those who knew him or worked with him during his life. Art proudly served in the United States Air Force during WW II.
Following his service, he worked for Union Carbide in Texas City, starting in 1947, retiring in 1982. He spent most of his life living in Texas City and relocated with Daisy to Dickinson following his retirement. He and Daisy were long time Lutherans, first as members of Memorial Lutheran Church and for the last twenty plus years as members of Peace Lutheran Church in Texas City.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Daisy, brother, Jack and sister, Ruth.
Survivors include his daughter Susan Hoermann and husband, Arlon, of Bedford, Texas and son David Baker and wife, Terri, of Pasadena, Texas; grandchildren, Jennifer Ingram and husband Shawn of McKinney, Texas, Mark Hoermann and wife Krisleigh of Dallas, Texas, Lauren Baker and Emily Baker, both of Pasadena, Texas; great-granddaughter Elizabeth Ingram; sister Pauline West of Bay city, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews, both in the United States and England.
Those who wish may make donations to Peace Lutheran Church, 9111 Emmett F. Lowry Expwy., Texas City, TX 77591, in the name of Arthur and Daisy Baker.
