MRS SUSAN SAVILLE DIES, LONG A RESIDENT HERE

Mrs. Susan Saville, lifelong resident of the District and nearby Maryland, died Monday at her residence, 1420 17th street, at the age of eighty-four years. She was one of the three daughters of the late Peter Dent Posey and was born at Springfield, his country residence in the Bethesda area of Montgomery county. Much of her early youth was spent in Washington with her sister, Mrs. Samuel C. Busey.
In 1859 she married Lieut. Thomas Truxton Houston, U.S.N., but became a widow about a year later, when he died at Naples of fever contracted while his ship was cruising in the Mediterranean. One son of this marriage, Thomas Truxton Houston of this city, survives her.
She married James H. Saville, then chief clerk of the Treasury Department, in 1871 and afterward a prominent lawyer and business man here. Two daughters of this marriage survive her, Mrs. Fulton Lewis and Miss Catherine Saville. Mr. Saville died in 1912.
