Mrs. Conley passed away Easter Sunday, March 27, 2005 at Wilora Lake Cove.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 PM Friday, April 1, 2005 at the Mint Hill Chapel of McEwen Funeral Service. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 2, 2005 from the sanctuary of St. John Neumann Catholic Church with The Reverend Thomas J. Meehan, O.S.M., celebrant. A private committal service will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Conley was born October 13, 1911 in New York, NY, daughter of the late Stephen and Anna Santore Testa. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two children, Catherine Carrier and Daniel Carrier. Following retirement Mrs. Conley and her husband, George, lived in Delray Beach, FL for twenty-five years before moving to Charlotte. She loved traveling, was an avid golfer and a great Italian cook.
Mrs. Conley is survived by her beloved husband, George F. Conley; daughters, Anne Mendonca of Galveston, TX, Jane Johnson of Mint Hill, NC, and Christine Collins of Matthews, NC; son, Arthur Carrier of Biloxi, MS; sisters, Helen Kerjean of New York and Antoinette Norberto of California; eighteen grandchildren and thirty-one great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice at Charlotte, 1420 E. 7th Street, Charlotte, NC 28204.
