Francis Bruns, 73, of Waco, Texas died Tuesday, April 27, 1993 in a Waco hospital.

He was the retired owner of Bruns Insurance Agency and a member of Lakewood Christian Church. He was the past president of the Waco Association of Independent Insurance Agents, he was a member of Midland Masonic Lodge No. 623 AF and AM, Waco Chapter No. 45, R.A.M., Waco Council NO. 33, R. and S.M. , Karem Temple A.A.O.N.M.S., United Commercial Travelers Council No. 52 Waco and Past Senior Councilar. He was a charter member, past president and treasurer of Heart O'Texas Amateur Club. He was also vice president of Northwest Waco Lions Club and a life member of Texas Lions League for Crippled Children, and the National Rifle Association.
He was a veteran of WWI.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Pochman Bruns, his parents, Herman and Ocie Bruns of Van Buren, Arkansas. Brothers, James Albert, Frederick 'Pete', Bill and Henry, Herman and Walter Bruns; A sister, Cora Pauline Lambert.
He was survived by two sisters, Caroline Allen of Van Buren and Hermie Smith of Tulsa; and two brothers, Robert Bruns of Van Buren and Antone Bruns of Los Angeles, California.

A memorial service was held at Lakewood Christian Church in Waco. His body was cremated.
