Wilma June (Sons) Cassida of Bedford, IN, died Friday, September 20, 2002, at her residence. Born on February 29, 1944, in Lawrence County, IN, she was the daughter of Virgil "Buck" and Rubie (Bottorff) Sons. She married Ernest W. Cassida on November 20, 1964, at the New Union Christian Church in Eureka in Lawrence County, IN, and he survives.

Surviving with her husband are two daughters, Mrs. Randy (Kathy) Burks and Mrs. Jon (Kim) Collins, all of Bedford, IN,; one granddaughter, Jessica Burks of Bedford, IN; one brother, James Sons of Fort Wayne, IN; one sister, Betty Jifkins of Paoli, IN; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Hope Collins; her parents; four sisters: Dorothy Kimbrell, Katherine Smith, Ellen Roberts, and Lois Padgett; and two brothers, Robert Sons and Jimmy Sons.

She had worked at Bedford Regional Medical Center since 1974 and was a member of Mount Pleasant Christian Church.

Services for Wilma Cassida will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 24th, at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Church Cemetery.
