Extracted from The Winsworth Family by Hazel Winsworth VanBebber:

On July 23, 1901, Glenn Edward was born in Grant County, [Oklahoma]. Needing more grass land, in 1902 the Winsworth family moved to Kiowa County, [Oklahoma]. In 1913, his family [except for his brother Clyde] left Kiowa county, and went to visit the Gerardy family [in Lincoln county]. [His father] Bill got a job working for Dave Evans on his Kickapoo farm.
Glenn and [his sister] Hazel went to the Kickapoo School [and] joined the Farm Boys and Girl Club, which later became the 4-H Club.
The family attended the Forest Congregational Church, which was a mile west of the Forest school. After church on special occasions, the Gerardys, Potters, and Winsworth families [all of whom were related] would gather at one of the houses, all bringing food that was enjoyed by all.
In 1915 [the family] went on to La Junta, [Colorado], then to Grand Junction, Colorado, and were gone for five years. [They] returned to Lincoln county, [Oklahoma], and for a while helped Ray and Grace Potter, who ran the Potter Hotel in Sparks. [While there Glenn attended high school.]
On Aug. 20, 1925 Glenn married Hattie Lubell Blaine at Chandler, Oklahoma. They spent a few years in Tulsa, but the rest of their lives they lived on their farm west of Sparks. He died Oct. 30, 1979.
