The daughter of Edward Earnsville Black and Pearl A Porter. 5 brothers: Edward, James, Russell, Robert, and Cecil. 3 sisters: Olive,Virginia, and Lila. She married William Lewis McWhorter Nov 23, 1938 in Elm Grove. They had 5 children: Norma Jean, Mary Louise, Bonnie Lee, Beuna Joan, and William Lewis Jr. (2009 all still reside in WV)
She was involved with 4-H Marshall county, School for the blind, and was the cook at Sherrard school for 23 years. Loved to quilt and volunteer at the Limestone Presbyterian.
