FINAL RITES FEB 25 FOR ALBERT F. HESS

Final rites for Albert F. Hess, retired farmer, were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb 25, in Lonsdale methodist Church with the Rev. Wilbur Whanger conducting the service. Mr. Hess died at Community Memorial Hospital here Feb 20. He had been a hospital patient since Jan 31.

Mr. Hess was born at Prescott (Nelson), Wis. July 5, 1879 and grew up in that area. He came to the Richey area about 1912 and homesteaded about 12 miles northwest of Richey. The adjoining homestead was being proved up on by Inez Herdman, whom he married in Omaha, Neb.,Feb 1, 1917. They farmed their land in the Richey area until 1947, then retired and moved to Sidney, where he has lived since. Mrs. Hess died here Nov 29, 1956.

His only surviving relatives are a brother, John Hess of Phoenix, Arizona and several nieces and nephews.

At the service, Mrs. Lionel Gall was organist. Mrs. Walter Quilling sang, "O, How I Love Jesus" and "Abide With Me."

Burial was in the Sidney Cemetery with Cloyd-Gorder in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Glenn Hall, Earl Hawley, Martin Wersland, Carl Pierson, Wilbert Bell and Georg Swenson.
