Joseph LaPatra, Jr.
Joseph LaPatra, jr., sexton of Arsenal street cemetery, died late Monday evening [10 November 1919] at his residence, 233 Goodale street, following a long illness, aged 53 [maybe looks like 63?] years. Death was due to Bright's disease and hardening of the arteries.
He leaves his widow Mrs. Sarah L. LaPatra, one daughter, Miss Ruth LaPatra, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph LaPatra, and three brothers, Jeremiah, Charles and Augustus LaPatra, all of this city. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Faith Chapel. He had been sexton of Arsenal street cemetery during the past three years.
The funeral will be held at 1:30 Thursday afternoon [13 November 1919] from the residence, 233 Goodale street, and at 2 from Faith Chapel, Rev. James H. Keeling, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in North Watertown cemetery.
