Her obituary appeared in the Watertown Daily Times on Monday afternoon, February 23, 1920 (page 12) as follows:

"Mrs. Florence LaPatra

"The funeral of Mrs. Florence Morrow La Patra, wife of Joseph La Patra, who died early Sunday morning [Feb. 22, 1920] at the LaPatra residence, 232 Goodale Street, aged 72 years, following a brief illness of influenza, will be held at 2 Tuesday afternoon [Feb. 24] from the residence and at 2:30 from Faith Chapel. Rev. James H. Keeling, pastor of Faith Chapel, will officiate. The remains will be placed in the city vault.

"Mrs. LaPatra had spent the greater part of her life in this city. Besides her husband, Joseph LaPatra, sr., she leaves three sons, Jerry, Charles and Augustus LaPatra, all of this city; one brother, Lewis Morrow, who is an inmate of a soldiers' home in the south; one half sister, Josephine Ganter of this city, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mrs. LaPatra was a member and regular attendant at Faith Chapel and of the Woman's League."


She was buried 13 April 1920 in Section A of the North Watertown Cemetery at 811 Bradley Road, Watertown, NY.
