Mary Ann Howard 48, 1408 Nebraska street, died at Hershey hospital at 11:50 p. m. Tuesday after an illness since March 31 of this year with a complication of ailments.

She was born Sept. 12, 1886 in Kansas, residing in Drury township before coming to Muscatine 12 years ago, she was married to Alva W. Howard on July 22, 1902 at Rock Island. Mrs. Howard was a member of the Pine Bluff Methodist Episcopal church.

Surviving are her husband; six children Florence Estabrook, Lorence Howard both of Muscatine,
Wesly and Omar Howard of Illinois, Laura Lessman of Rock Island and Kenneth Howard at home, three brothers John, Daniel, and Wilson Hayes all of Muscatine, three sisters Bessie Dougherty and Mattie Johnson both of Muscatine, and Fannie Hatton of Detroit Michigan, seven grandchildren. One brother preceded her in death.

The body is at the Hoffman Funeral home where it will remain until funeral services to be conducted at 1 p. m. Friday and at 2 p. m. at the Illinois City Methodist Episcopal church by the pastor, the Rev. Caleb Larson. Burial will be in the Illinois City cemetery.

Last rites for Mary Ann Howard1408 Nebraska street, who died at Hershey hospital Tuesday were conducted at the Hoffman Funeral home at 1 p. m. Friday and at the Illinois City Methodist Episcopal church at 2 p. m. by the Rev. Caleb Larson, pastor. Burial was in the Illinois City cemetery.

Pallbearers were Raymond Daughtery, Arthur Hayes, Arthur Walker, Chester Howard, Walter Weierhauser and Lysle Colberg, flower attendants were Marie Rans, Lydia Snider, Mrs. Ora Predmore, Lottie Thomas and Caroline Estabrook. The Rev. and Mrs. Larson were the soloists accompanied by Mrs. Omer Keller.
