Daughter of Wichmann and Margaret "Meto" (Koenig) Böttcher, Caroline Boettcher was the second wife of Adolph August Picker. They were married 14 Jan 1903. Known children follow: Louis Henry, Frederick John, Edna Elisa, and Ella Margaret.
The following obituary, translated from German, was in papers of the Boettcher-Neese family. Source was probably Der Christliche Apologete:
Picker -- Sister Karoline H. Picker nee Boettcher, inherited the light of this world on 23 August 1877 near Wollam, Mo. She was nurtured in a Methodist home, early brought to the fear of God, converted and joined the Church. On 14 January 1903 she entered into holy matrimony with … husband Adolf Picker. This union was blessed with 4 children. Besides that she reared a daughter from her husband's first marriage. To all these she was a loving, true mother. Sister Picker belonged to the "Stille im Lande" (Silent in the Land). She lost her husband … and now must leave behind her four not-yet-adult children. She died after a short but severe suffering from nerve fever on the 8th of September. On the 10th of September she was buried at Leduc with many participants. Br. C. A. Reumeyer, an earlier preacher, and Br. J. Andrews from the Southern Church took part in the funeral. Psalm 116:15 served as text: The Death of his Saints.
