Chris Baden, 68, a native of Pomeroy and Garfield County, died of cancer at Valley General Hospital last Thursday night. His home at the time of his death was at Spirit Lake, Idaho, where he had lived since 1970.
Baden was born Aug. 11, 1905, to Richard and Lorena Baden. He attended schools at Pomeroy. He married Lois Morton at Pomeroy Sept. 15, 1955. She survives him at the family home.
Baden was a member of the Pleasant Grove Grange, the Odd Fellows, Eagles and the Elks Lodge. He was also a member of the First Christian Church at Pomeroy.
Also surviving him are a daughter, Christine Baden of Spirit Lake; three step-sons, Roger and William Street, both of Klamath Falls, Ore., and Andrew Street of Pomeroy; his mother at Clarkston; and a sister, Mrs. Justin (Faith) Fitzgerald of Pomeroy.
Funeral services were held yesterday at Richardson's Funeral Home, Pomeroy, with Rev. Howard Neal, pastor of the First Christian Church, officiating. Burial was in the Pomeroy IOOF Cemetery.
Members of the family suggest that any memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
