Thomas C. White, 90, Sioux City, Iowa, died November 30, 1975, at the Billy Sunday Retirement Home after a long illness. Services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Walter Funeral Home in Anthon with Rev. Ted Sieck, pastor of the Anthon United Church of Christ, officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were James, Gary, Harold "Stub", Curtis and Harold White, and Marvin Umbach.
Mr. White was born December 23, 1884, in Hamlin, Iowa. [He married Emma Crees in 1904. The couple had four children: Thomas Lester, Clair R., Maxine, and Merle.] The Whites moved to Ida Grove where they farmed. They later farmed in the Correctionville, Danbury, Anthon and Oto areas. In 1950 they moved to Sioux City where he was employed by Roe Dairy Company for several years. Mrs. White died in 1952.
He married Mae Fern (O'Connor) Zentz on September 28, 1955. She died July 25, 1974. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Maxine Jerman of Milwaukee, Oregon, a son, Merle "Newt" White of Sioux City, a stepdaughter, Mrs. Ethel Franze of Lamok, California, a stepson, Walter L. Zentz of Sioux City, twenty grandchildren, six step grandchildren, several great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren. He was preceded by his parents, wife and two sons.
