CLEARFIELD - Trudice Marie Morgan Craythorn, 80, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2004 at McKay-Dee Hospital.

She was born November 17, 1923 in Layton, Utah, a daughter of Vernon Richard and Fern Marie Anderson Morgan. She graduated from Davis High School where she was very active in Pro Schola and debate. Trudy also enjoyed serving on her high school reunion committee for 50 years.

Trudy married Arnold Eugene Craythorn, January 5, 1942, in Evanston, Wyoming. He preceded her in death on March 18, 1994.

She was a lifelong resident of Clearfield and Layton where she was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She worked for the Ogden Air Technical Service Command, Parachute and Textile Branch during World War II, Clover Club, and the IRS where she retired.

Trudy was very family oriented and a wonderful seamstress, designing and sewing numerous outfits, costumes, and uniforms for her own, and extended family. She had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed traveling, camping and socializing with her husband, family and close friends, especially those from her high school days. She was a very caring person who will leave fond memories with all who knew her.

The family wishes to express appreciation and their heart-felt thanks to Chancellor Gardens of Clearfield, their wonderful staff and in-house Comfort Hospice for their excellent care and help during the last two years of Trudys life. The family is also very grateful to the professional and caring staff at McKay-Dee Hospital and IHC Hospice who provided excellent comfort care during Trudys last week of life and made the family welcome during this difficult time.

Surviving are four sons and two daughters, Lynn E. (Pat) Craythorn, Syracuse; Kevan A. Craythorn and his companion (Debbie), Clearfield; Don L. Craythorn, West Point; Craig M. (Becky M.) Craythorn, Layton; Terry M. (Mickey) Ellis, West Point; and Trudy Jill Whiteley, Syracuse; as well as 27 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
