Ruby C. Roberts, 87, of Ashland passed away Thursday, March 20, 2008, at Ashland Healthcare.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, at Rock Bridge Church of God, with the Rev. Rod Davis officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery.

Ruby was born May 11, 1920, in Columbia, to John S. and Emma F. Hargis Anderton. She was a member of Rock Bridge Church of God.

Survivors include a son, Alva Sapp and wife, Cheryl of St. Louis; three daughters, Linda Wilson and Frances Robb, both of Columbia, and Violet Perry and husband Eric of Pittsburgh, N.C.; a sister, Betty Jean Sapp of Ashland; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, six brothers and five sisters.
