Bride of Two Months Accidentally Shot

Mrs. THOMAS R. HICKMAN, wife of State Ranger Captain Hickman, accidentally shot and killed herself at Fort McKavitt, Texas, presumably Friday morning, according to a message received by Mrs. JACK CONLEY, sister of Captain Hickman, from her cousin, FRED HICKMAN, at Sherman, Texas. Fred Hickman received a telegram from Sgt. KOONSMAN. Captain and Mrs. Hickman were married less than two months ago, living at Fort McKavitt only a few weeks, the captain being commander of Co. B, Texas Rangers, stationed at the fort. It is understood they were preparing to leave for London, England where Captain Hickman was to be one of the judges for an international rodeo.
Fort McKavitt is located in Menard County, about 40 miles southeast of San Angelo.
Mrs. Hickman was a sister of assistant United States district attorney ARTERBERRY of Fort Worth.
