Jonathan Allex died at his home in this city on Saturday morning, March 7th,at seven o'clock after a week's illness of dropsy and jaundice. The remains were taken to the Jos. Schwarz Co. undertaking establishment where a short funeral service was held by Rev. T. P. Brannum on Sunday afternoon at two o'clock, after which the remains were interred in Restland cemetery.
The deceased was born at LaMoille 48 years ago and is survived by four sisters. Mrs. Mary Gower of this city, Mrs. Lizzie Lippincott, of Earlville, Mrs. Lydia Brainard, of Hesston, Kansas; and Mrs. Maggie Pry, of Oelwein, Iowa.
