Paul Arendt's father was Anton Arendt (1841-1909). He was born in Wartenburg in Ostpreußen (eastern Germany) which is now part of Poland after the WW2 surrender treaties. Wartenburg is now Barczewo, Poland. His father Anton, never immigrated and died in Wartenburg in 1909). HIs mother Rosa Froese Arendt (1850-1932) immigrated after Paul's father died in 1909 and joined her sons Paul and Stephen Arendt in Lindsay, Texas. She is buried in St. Peter's Cemetery, Lindsay as are her sons.
