PASSING OF JOHN TIMERMAN — John Timerman was bom August 5, 1838 near Herkimer in Herkimer county New York, died December 22, 1926 at Buffalo, Wyoming at the age of 88 years, months and 17 days. He was married May 15, 1875 to Miss Olive Nichols, who passed away on November 18, 1895. To them were born seven children, two of whom died in infancy. Ben, the only son, died at the age of twelve years. Gertrude, the second daughter died the 10th of this month at Colorado Springs. The surviving children are Mrs Laura Sawyer of Wichita Kansas, Mrs. Sadie Blevins of Louisville, Kentucky and Mrs. Mattie Scott of Buffalo, Wyoming. Mr. Timerman was the oldest of thirteen children, only two of whom survive; Mrs. George Shuck and Mrs. Ed Gilbert. He was a member of the Christian church, having joined and was baptized when he lived at Stella. He enlisted for Civil War service at Geneseo Illinois August 7, 1861 and served all through the war with the Ninth Illinois cavalry. For the past six months Mr. Timerman had resided with Mrs. Scott and it was at her home where he died after illness beginning November 19 caused by a stroke. However, during this illness he was able to be up and dressed now and then and to go to the table occasionally. He very much enjoyed being with Mrs. Scott and her fanily at Buffalo. Mrs. Scott's pastor Rev Anspaugh of the Methodist church held a short service at a funeral home in Buffalo and then Mrs. Scott started eastward with the remains arriving at Falls City Saturday afternoon, then coming to the home of Ed Gilbert. Mr Gilbert, Earl Gilbert, Mrs. Bertha Hinkle, Mr. and Mrs. George Timerman with Esburn Wheeler as funeral director met Mrs Scott at the train. She left for home Monday and was taken to the Burlington at Falls City by Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert and Mrs. Hinkle. The body lay in state at the Gil-her home until Sunday afternoon when Elder Sapp held funeral services at the Christian church. The church was well filled with relatives and old time friends. Elder Sapp's theme for the sermon was "Man's Contribution to the Wold" His Scripture reading was the 22nd chapter of Matthew telling the story of the tribute money brought to Christ. Elder Sapp read from the printed biography which Mr. Timerman prepared a few years ago and presented to the relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Kimsey, Dr. Montgomery and Miss Ninon Gentry sang "Asleep in Jesus" and ''Beautiful Isle" Mrs. Kimsey sang as a solo "City Four Square". Miss Mildred Wright was the accompanist. Burial was in Stella cemetery. Pall bearers were W J Vandeventer, R A Tynan, Amil Moritz, A J Helmick, J F Weddle. and H V Pavia.

Gertrude Timerman Alldredge died of leakage of the heart in a hospital in Colorado Springs December 10th and was buried at Colorado Springs two weeks ago the past Sunday. Her husband M W Alldredge survives. They had been making their home at Colorado Springs. She was forty eight years old. A few years ago she took a homestead at Divide, Colorado and still owned this land at the time of her death. The sister Mrs. Blevins went to Colorado Springs for the burial. Among those who visited Mrs. Alldredge at the hospital was Mrs. Thomas Davis of Colorado Springs, formerly of near Stella.
