On the same Mortality Schedule above, nex to Jas is Cornelia A Berry, age 4, VA born, died in July, cause throat, 10 days.
James W Berry was the son of Thornton and Rachel Berry, ???. 2, 1829 to Jun. 6, "1949" (sic). Taken from Inscriptions from Augusta Stone Church (oldest cemetery), Ft. Defiance, Augusta Co., Virginia, by Mrs. C. F. Rudolph, Washington, DC., 1953.
Toots wrote me, her source is Allen Morgan Berry's data, written in 1937 has his birth year as "? ?2 1839." Note that Rachel, his sister was born Dec 12 1839 and died Jan 6 1849. James W's death date is Jun 6 1849. They were most likely twins which prevailed in the Berry family. Later she shared he was born and died in Virginia and died in Jan, not Jun.
