HENRY DRIETH
Henry Drieth,85, of 200 Sixth Ave., died Thursday, Sept. 6, at Foothills Care Center.
He was born Nov. 17, 1892 in Beideck, Russia, and was married to Anna Burback on Nov. 29, 1914 in Longmont.
The son of Henry and Katherine Donis Drieth, he moved from
Lincoln, Nebraska to Longmont in 1913 and farmed in this area ever since. He had worked for Great Western Sugar about 10 years and then was self-employed in lawn care since his retirement in 1951.
Mr. Drieth was a member of the Christ Congregational United Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 1968 in Longmont AND DAUGHTER ROSA IN 1919.
Mr. Drieth is survived by eight sons, Rynne Drieth, Longmont; Daniel Drieth, Northglenn: Rueben Drieth, Akron; Joe Drieth, Longmont; Henry Roy Drieth, Longmont; Walter Drieth, Colorado Springs; Isaac Drieth, Longmont; two daughters, Mrs. Rose Biesel, Commerce City and Mrs. Ann Houder, Longmont; 31 grandchildren; and 43 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Christ Congregational United Church of Christ, Mountain View Avenue and Francis Street. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
Lewellen Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Contributions may be make to the memorial fund of Christ Congregational Church.
