W.W. Fair , Spanish- American War Veteran Dies.

William W. Fair, 67, a veteran of the Spanish- American War and retired Reading Company employee died yesterday at his home 1340 N. Sixth St. He was the son of the late Reuben and Mary (Shirey) Fair, and was employed by the Reading Company for 31 years retiring in 1934 after an accident.

He was a member of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church; a past Commander of Hintz Camp, United Spanish American War Veterans; Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen; the P and R Veterans Association and the Orioles.

Surviving are his widow, Ida (Lawrence) Fair; a daughter, Esther, wife of Francis Hughes, Mt. Penn; one grandchild and a brother, Clifford Fair, Reading.

Services Monday at 3 p.m. in the T.C. Auman, Inc., Funeral Parlors. The Rev. Frank E. Radcliffe officiating. Burial in the Charles Evans Cemetery.

A VETERAN - whether active duty, discharged, retired, reserve or passed away - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a blank check made payable to The United States of America, for an amount of up to, and including their life.
