Reuben F. Fair, for many years in the employ of the Reading Company died suddenly at 9:30 p.m. Thursday at his residence, 245 Reed St. His age was 79 years, 6 months, and 23 days. He had been in poor health for two years. Coroner Ammarell, who was notified, issued a certificate of death due to heart condition.

Mr. Fair was a native of Baumstown. He was a son of Reuben and Harriet (Feather) Fair. For many years he worked in the blacksmith department of the Reading company's shops and was a pensioned employee of the company. He was a member of Camp 163, P.O.S and A., Reading Company Relief Association, and the Lutheran Denomination.

Surviving are his widow, Nora M. (Wahl) Fair, two sons, Clifford N. Fair, Bethlehem, and William W. Fair, Reading; three brothers, George, William and Samuel Fair, all of whom are veteran employees of the Reading Company; three grandchildren, Herbert Fair, Mrs. Edna Bodenhorn and Mrs. Esther Fair Hughes, Reading; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral director Seidel.

Reuben's first wife was Mary Shirey who passed away in 1879 and was the mother of Clifford and William.
