" * BRISES Mrs died - 3 Mar 1898 ae 57yr "
*Note the S E S ending in the name underlined usually means bad handwriting and cannot figure out the spelling. Meaning they believe the B R I correct.
Cemetery on line map locator:
Grave: 068823
BRISCOE, MRS.
Date of Birth:
Date of Death: 3/3/1898
This lot during times of segregation named South Hazelwood. Meaning the section for black burials. That helps with some identification for this lady. Knowing she is black, female, age 57. Narrows some family searching for her. She is buried beside a Russell Owen. I do not know if they are related at this time. The lot does not have any other Briscoe surnames unless it would be a maiden name for some of the married ladies in it, but again I do not know that at this time either.
