Oscar "Bud" Hahn married Mary Frances Wick on 17 Aug 1946. They had 10 children.

He owned and operated Hahn Service Co., a heating, cooling, and refrigeration business, from 1962 to 1989.

He was a lector and member of the Parish Council of St. Mary's Church, Lockport, and St. Bridget's Church, Newfane, Lockport Council 319 Knights of Columbus, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2535, Sunrise Optimist Club, director of the former Soap Box Derby Association, and member and past president of the Refrigeration and Service Engineers.
